Sticksfeld, Hanover

Description

The four rows of the passive house estate are located in the district “Kronsberg”, a residential area which was new created in the context of the EXPO 2000. For the first time, thermal heat was supplied via supply air. Singularly the bathrooms were equipped with small radiators. The outstanding energy consumption is so small that it is possible to compensate the total needed residual energy for heating, water heating and electricity financially through renewable energies: with a stake of 2,6 kW in the wind power plant Kronsberg – which is included in the house price – total climate neutrality is realized.

Building technology

VENTILATION:

comfort ventilation system with heat recovery functions, the device has counterflow heat exchanger and DC fans. The energy efficiency is excellent: for every the used kWh of electricity 16.5 kWh heat are obtained back

HEATING:

heat supply for water heating and space heating via local heat and a solar plant for water heating on each house, heat distribution via supply air and radiators in the bathrooms

no active air conditioning installed
